KlimaGrand - KlimaMineral - KlimaGrand Robust
KlimaGrand is a water-permeable surface for roads and bicycle paths, made of ecological mineral aggregates. It is a mixture of natural stone aggregates of graded grain size and special binding gravel (Premix).
KlimaGrand is used as a topping layer in park avenues, historic trails and on squares, bike paths, sports fields and playgrounds, as well as on tree framings. The mineral mixture is selected in such a way that the surface is as little dusty and smearing as possible in various weather circumstances. The road surface is permeable to water, resistant to frost and stable even under extreme weather conditions. The high shear strength ensures that KlimaGrand remains stable even during intensive use.
KlimaGrand is installed either on a dynamic middle layer (KlimaMineral) or directly on the base layer. The 3-layer construction with KlimaMineral has its advantages, but thanks to the newly developed binding gravel (Premix), we have so far achieved good results with the 2-layer solution as well. KlimaGrand is installed with a thickness of 3-4 cm. The maximum bulk density is 2.0 to./m³ - 2.3 to./m³. The standard grain size is 0-8 mm, but can also be finer or coarser grained in individual cases.
KlimaMineral is a dynamic middle layer between the base course and KlimaGrand. Thanks to slightly larger grain size 0-16 mm it serves as a transition layer and fills the gap in grain size between the base layer and the top layer. Thanks to this structure, the dynamic layer can store water from precipitation, which is then released into the surface layer during dry periods. KlimaMineral significantly increases the long-term load capacity of KlimaGrand. It transfers dynamic loads from the surface layer to the base layer. That is why it is called "dynamic layer".
The maximum bulk density is 2.0 to./m³ - 2.3 to./m³. KlimaMineral is installed in thicknesses of 5 to 6 cm.
With a coarser grain size of 0-11mm, KlimaGrand Robust® has a slightly "rolling" surface, making this pavement a good choice for roads and areas with vehicular traffic. It is stable, shows high shear resistance, is weather resistant and easy to install. Due to its low fines content, KlimaGrand Robust® achieves good drainage and very high shear strength with minimal dusting. The maximum volume density is approximately 2.0 to./m³. KlimaGrand Robust is installed directly on the base course, layer thickness is 5-6 cm.
Depending on the requirements, the surface is available in different colors. For logistical reasons, we always try to produce the surfaces in the locations where the route to the construction site is the shortest.
